At Gandeys Circus, the magic of the Big Top goes far beyond the applause and the spotlight.
For generations, Gandeys has been dedicated not only to entertaining families across the UK and beyond but also to giving back to the communities that welcome them with open arms.
We’re incredibly proud to share that, through the generosity of our audiences, £63 has recently been raised via online ticket donations in support of the Manchester Foundation Trust Charity’s Rocket Scanner Appeal. This latest donation brings Gandeys’ total contribution to an amazing £410.60, helping to fund vital medical equipment for local hospitals.
The Manchester Foundation Trust Charity (MFT Charity) supports hospitals across Greater Manchester, ensuring patients have access to the very best treatment, technology, and care.
Thanks to the combined efforts of Gandeys and many others, The Manchester Foundation Trust Charity has now been able to purchase two brand-new Rocket Scanners – one for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and another for Wythenshawe Hospital.
Rocket scanners are playful, rocket-shaped MRI simulators designed to help children overcome the fear and anxiety associated with an MRI scan.
By providing their hospitals with two Rocket Scanners, the patient experience is able to be transformed – reducing distress and anxiety in the young children that they care for. With our support, hospitals can ensure that thousands of children can be scanned without feeling so frightened that they need to be put to sleep.
By helping to fund this technology, Gandeys is proud to play a small part in making hospital visits a little easier for families across the region.
The team at Manchester Foundation Trust Charity expressed their gratitude for Gandeys’ ongoing support. Contributions like these help the charity continue its work to improve patient care, fund innovative projects, and bring comfort and support to children and families across Greater Manchester.
